When you think of Tech High School, you probably think of its amazing activities, especially the fall activities. The 2018-2019 Tech fall activities have kicked off to a great start. The sports that take place in the fall are football, girls’/boys’ soccer, girls’ swimming and diving, volleyball, cross country, and girls’ Tennis.
So far, Tech’s fall activities have had great attendance at games and a great number of alumni coming to the games. They have also had great student involvement and school spirit for most of their games, which truly helps teams and activities flourish. Tech has been quite successful with many sports in past years but currently, the Tech football team is having a very strong season. Tech football is so strong that as of September 27th, their record is 4 wins and zero losses overall, making the team rank number 11th in class 4A in the entire state!
The Tech varsity boys’ soccer team also has done an incredible job in continuing to train hard and score goals. This has made it possible for them to have a great record of 7 wins, 2 ties, and 1 loss.
The girls’ tennis team has reportedly done well at many of their meets, and so has the girls’ swimming and diving. Other activities, like the Tech girls’ soccer team, have put in a lot of effort and have continued to work hard, despite less successful seasons. They have an overall record of three wins, eight ties and five losses. The girls’ volleyball team has worked hard to improve from last year by currently having a record of 5 wins and 14 losses.
From singing the Alma Mater to getting dressed up for games, the school spirit at Tech has always been incomparable to other schools. It is such a huge part of being a student or teacher at Tech. The Tech Tigers have shot for success by trying to demonstrate school pride that outshines all other schools in the area. Nothing stands above Tech’s responsible, respectful, and proud students.
Hopefully, the Tech activities will be able to continue to win games and be able to attain records that have more wins than losses. It’s possible as long as students are able to work hard, participate in some way, and be supportive of each other.
