Fall is no doubt one of the most beloved seasons, especially in Minnesota. If we
are lucky, we get a month of beautiful weather. Not too hot, but not too cold, and with no rain, hail sleet, or snow.
There are so many fantastic elements of fall. The colored leaves, Halloween, meeting up with friends to go to Molitor's Haunted Acres, the perfect 60-degree weather, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, and of course, pumpkin spice flavored treats are the highlights. These are the excitements that are motivating most of us to get out of bed in the morning after the first hard month of school.
One of the best parts of fall is the beautiful changing leaf colors that lead to different color schemes with crimson reds, sunset oranges, coffee browns and what many office fans call “Dwight Schrute yellows.” This year, mustard and dandelion yellow sweaters are a hit.
Fall is the perfect season because we finally get to wear our comfy sweaters and sweats that will likely be our only outfit choices until the spring. It is also not too cold to wear dresses and shorts with sweatshirts.
Pumpkin spice is all the rage in the fall, but why the
obsession? This is easy to answer because there is nothing more comforting than the smell of pumpkin spice lattes, pies, cookies, bread, cake, and cereal. Yes, there seriously are pumpkin spice flavored cereals including Cheerios, Mini Wheats, and Frosted Flakes. Try some. They're delicious!
There are many other delicious foods dedicated to the autumn season, but let's talk about Halloween. When you start to see the Halloween decorations come on display at Target, you know fall is just around the corner. Finding a fun costume and dressing up can seem a little childish but there's always an exception if you're passing out the candy, right?
Halloween is one of the most exciting holidays with the creative costumes, movies, party decorations, and haunted houses.
We also cannot forget about the seasonal movies that will soon be appearing on our television screens such as family favorites like “Hocus Pocus” and “Casper the Friendly Ghost.” Top horror movie picks like “The Conjuring” and “Scarecrow.” You had better get the popcorn popped and your fuzzy socks ready for these late night movie binges!
All in all, fall is not only the best season for the beautiful vibrant colors, the attraction of pumpkin spiced anything, the amazing hunting holiday and all of its perks, and the activities the entire season brings, but also that it brings everyone together. Fall is the best season, which is, in fact, not an opinion.
